When shooting street photos, she prefers to use the environment itself, people tend to hide in the window, the glass reflection of light and shadow overlap, or fuzzy because of the wet glass.

‘When I try to record the city’s quiet moments,I’ll try to be careful not to be found during the process, so as not to break this moment. If I thought it would interfere with the subject, I wouldn’t have done it. When someone finds me shooting, I mostly laugh and run away, and sometimes I ask if they want to see the pictures that I take. Only one time the man asked for deletion of the photo, I did it and then chatted with him for a long time. Most of the time, people noticed that when I was filming, they would adjust their posture, take a relaxed look, and re-become a New Yorker’, said Melissa.
